Children are naturally curious and we at Merry Cherriez, help hardwire this innate quality into the impressionable minds of our students. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math. Through STEAM curriculum, we help the child to inculcate a scientific temper and method into their way of thinking. We encourage them to ask questions and in turn we also prod them with tiny thought provoking questions. We have activities that awaken their curiosity, improve their vocabulary, encourage collaboration and creative thinking.
STEAM instruction in early education is a natural fit, as the core concepts of STEAM include curiosity, creativity, collaboration and critical thinking; and these traits are readily kindled at this age by guiding their thought processes in this direction.

Speaking, listening, reading and writing skills are imparted to set a strong base for the English language. While the playgroup students slowly learn to speak English, crawling out of the comfortable cocoon of their native languages, they discover a whole new way of communication. We slowly build their listening skills, a very important base to learn effectively in all their further classes. We try to instill a love for reading and hearing stories at Merry Cherriez. We have year-long collaboration with the Wise Owl library, Sahakarnagar to ensure age appropriate and exciting literature to enable them to have a healthy lifelong connection with books. We start the students on phonics, tracing and help them to read sensibly & systematically without the antiquated method of learning spelings byheart.Writing is a methodical process and only done stagewise according to the development of the child.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Art time is a favorite among Merry Cherriez students. We let children dive into the colorful world of paints & prints with coloring time and process art time (where students are allowed to let out their artistic feelings without worrying about the final outcome. It’s the process that is gratifying and educative). Students make cards, paint pots, create charts/posters; learn about primary colors. Colors bring great joy to the children and help show them that they live in a beautiful world.

Children at Merrry Cherriez vibe with each other through lively, foot-tapping music and dance and not just with simple old rhymes. The joy of music and dance spills into their learning to make it memorable and effective.

We believe that the upcoming generation should grow up with love for Mama Nature at their core. To reinforce this idea we have several activities planned on a weekly basis to appreciate the precious gift of Nature. – like Nature walks, observing things in Nature, learning about animals and endangered species… and that’s just the tip of the iceberg!!
